We all know that treatment plants use chlorine to disinfect drinking water. Chlorine is one of the drugs found in the tap-water we drink and is a strong chemical that can kill microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. This knowledge has made us all breathe a sigh of relief because we are at least sure that the tap water we drink daily are reasonably safe to use.
